The result of my Hair Intolerance Test changed my life! I learned that there were many things that I was eating and drinking and were incorporated into my life, including flowers at my desk, that my body had problems with. This included different essential oils, herbs and additives. They caused my body to release histamines that created problematic behaviors, such as allergy symptoms, itchy skin, severe rashes, foggy memory, lethargic behaviors, muscle pain, stiff joints, restless sleeping, irritability, weight gain, belly pain, IBS, depression, to name a few … I’m sure there are more. I was tired of all of the doctor visits and medications, especially since I was still experiencing the same symptoms. Like many, I took matters into my own hands. I started being my own doctor in order to take back control of my health. I did what I thought I needed to do … eating right, hydrating with water. To alkalize my body, I added colon hydrotherapy, massage, infrared sauna treatments, and added herbs, enzymes, pre- and probiotics to my diet. I also started eating less gluten, sugar and dairy. I thought I was eating the right foods … more fruits and vegetables. But, little did I know that some of these fruits and vegetables were not tolerant with my body, so my symptoms continued. I experienced acidic histamine release from foods (like tomatoes) and my environment that apparently caused a leaky gut response.

Because of my leaky gut, I broke out in a rash (pictured below) that was uncontrollable. My lab work showed that inflammation in my body was elevated, which is a sign of auto immune disease. I thought I was doing my body good with the changes to the foods I was eating. Was I wrong! Based on the lab results, I decided to do a juice and water cleanse to give my body and digestion a rest.

During this journey, I learned about OXALATES which are in spinach, cocoa, okra, beets, french fries, sweet potatoes, bran cereals and many other foods. Oxalates are not good if you have leaky gut issues or kidney issues. They can cause kidney stones. So I was back to cutting certain foods out of my diet and life again. Although, I did see a noticeable difference … the rash was gone (thank God), but my skin was still itchy and I still had brain fog. So, my search continued.

A Clean Colon: the Key to Health

Did you know the average American may be carrying as much as 10-25 pounds of impacted fecal matter in their colon? And that is someone of normal weight with no known allergies! All You Need is Sleep!

Life seems to get busier and busier, and the amount of hours in the day seems to get less and less. And, although we love it most, sleep often gets compromised in the busiest of times. Coffee may be able to save us for the short-term, but have you ever really thought about what shaving those extra few hours of sleep off your night really do for your body and your appearance?

There’s a reason they call it beauty sleep! And, no, that’s not just a cute, catchy phrase … your body really does need sleep to keep you and your skin and body healthy, glowing, and youthful. When you miss out on sleep, even just a few hours a night, it’s noticeable! BBC Health News reported on a study that found people expressed a statistically significant less amount of attraction to people that slept for only 4 hours a night as opposed those who got a full night’s rest.
